MoneyPost is an Indian financial news and market intelligence platform built for retail investors who need fast, reliable coverage of stocks, IPOs, mutual funds, commodities, and macroeconomic events.
3Minds Digital designed the complete UX/UI and visual identity, covering 6 distinct page types, a scalable component system, and a content architecture that organizes 12+ editorial categories into a single coherent experience.
The core design challenge: build a news platform dense enough to compete with established players like Moneycontrol and ET Markets, while keeping the experience fast, scannable, and free of the visual clutter that plagues Indian financial media.

The visual identity for MoneyPost was built around one principle: financial authority without corporate coldness. The dark green palette signals trust, growth, and money the three associations most relevant to Indian retail investors. The logo pairs a geometric icon mark with a confident wordmark, designed to work at small sizes in navigation and at large scale in the footer. The typographic system uses hierarchical sizing to separate section headers, article headlines, body content, and metadata, each with enough visual distinction to guide scanning across content-dense pages.

MoneyPost needed to serve three competing stakeholders simultaneously, each creating a different design constraint.
For the business: The platform required aggressive ad monetization with 8+ placements per page while maintaining editorial credibility expected from a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
For the users: Indian retail investors needed to track markets, read analysis, follow IPOs, and consume breaking news, without fighting through the visual noise that defines most competing Indian financial news sites.
For the design system: 12+ content categories, 6 page types, and 6 distinct content formats, articles, live blogs, media galleries, video shorts, web stories, and explainers, all needed to coexist under one coherent visual framework that could scale.

The UX strategy for MoneyPost is based on three key principles:
1. Repeatable Section Pattern: Each content category has a consistent layout, helping users scan the homepage efficiently.
2. Progressive Content Density: Top Stories are featured prominently, with additional content unfolding as users scroll.
3. Format Flexibility: The system accommodates six formats beyond standard articles, including Live Blogs, Media Galleries, and Video Shorts.

The visual language was designed for a finance-first news experience, focusing on clarity and readability. A clean layout and structured content make financial updates easy to scan.
Typography uses Merriweather for headlines and Noto Sans for UI elements, ensuring excellent readability on all devices.
The color system features a high-contrast palette with accent colors to highlight key metrics and calls to action, creating a consistent and accessible design language for complex financial news.

The MoneyPost design system offers a production-ready platform with 6 page types: Homepage, Article Detail, Article Listing, Media Gallery, Live Blog, and Market Details, featuring consistent navigation and real-time market data.
A scalable component library includes article cards, section headers, and market widgets, enabling the editorial team to extend the platform easily.
An ad framework integrates 8+ placements per page, ensuring every ad is labeled and dismissible. Real-time market data is featured prominently, including stock tickers and market movers.
