User Interface Design is the design focused on user interaction and experiences for websites, computers, appliances, machines, mobile communication devices, and software applications.
We respond to design primitively. The Amygdala controls our gut reactions and emotions, and it works faster than our conscious mind. Emotions make a more lasting effect than rational thought.
Our brain loves images, faces and
We comprehend and remember text with images more than text alone. We tend to quickly identify and connect to faces with expressions that we relate to. And when it comes to colors, it's more than just looking good - different colors send different signals to the brain.
The Ripple Effect:
To capitalise what humans instinctively find attractive is the best way to implement UI design.
First impressions are 94% design related.
62 - 90% of our feeling about a product is determined by the color alone.
Our brain processes images 60,000X faster than text.
90% of all data that the brain processes is visual.
The goal is to achieve user-centred design - which means that, the user interface needs to be designed in such a way that the interaction is in the simplest and most efficient form possible.
The concept of a good user interface is that the user should be able to achieve their goal effortlessly without having to focus much on the actual interface. While this essentially makes the user interface ‘invisible’ to those who are using it, the user enjoys the usability and efficiency of the software much more and thus, has a good user experience.
Our UI Design side is established in creating well-designed user interface with the intention to make it appreciable by the users. The intangibility of software makes it controllable only via a designed user interface, which is handled skillfully by our UI designers.
